We have been providing affordable Christian counseling to our community for years.
We have become very familiar with the conflicts and emotional issues that those in our community struggle with. Our attention has now been drawn into a new epidemic in our community: veterans who have returned home from Iraq and Afghanistan with PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). Over 500,000 veterans in the United States have been diagnosed with PTSD.
The sad truth is the Veterans Administration is only able to provide counseling to about 10% or 50,000 of these veterans. Many of these heroes now have a hard time holding down jobs because of PTSD and other issues. They can’t afford to pay a private counselor, and their insurance won’t cover the expenses.
Redemption Counseling has made a commitment to provide counseling to veterans with PTSD at no cost. We have had great success helping vets with PTSD. In fact most of them find freedom in 5 to 7 weeks.
The cost of counseling one veteran with PTSD is about $1000. Our goal is to help 25 veterans over the every 20 weeks. To do this we need your help. Please consider giving a tax-deductible donation.
